I write for fun, as a hobby and to get paid. It just depends what side of the bed I wake up on. It has won me a few prizes 1st Prize Clifford Chance/ZAMPEN Short Story Competition 2011, MISA Zambia Best Community Blog 2014, 2nd Prize ZWWA/Chinese Embassy National Short Story Competition 2016 and Nyamuka Zambia Business Plan Competition 2016 3rd Prize Winner. Shortlisted for the Kalemba Short Story Prize 2018. I wrote a book titled 'HIRED- Find the Job, Keep the Job and Quit the Job' that is currently in book stores. My friends have called me creative, risk-taker, innovative, enterprising and I confess they are right. I do not think outside the box, why should I be in a box in the first place?
In my other life, I was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers Zambia for four years. I have had stints at other companies such as Mac Recruitment, Engen Petroleum Zambia and KfW German Development Bank. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Development Studies from University of Zambia, a Masters of Arts in Globalisation, Business and Development from University of Sussex (UK) and I am also a qualified chartered accountant (ACCA). I am a Chevening Scholar (2014/2015) and Mandela Washington Fellow (2016/2017).
Right now, I am thinking of a solution to youth unemployment and I try to sneak in some travelling if I can find someone to pay for the trip.
